New scientists collective for environmental action

Québec-Océan highlights the launch of the new Scientists collective for environnement action (SAEQ), a group of Québec scientists committed to climate action and the socio-environmental transition. Supported by their main spokesperson and our new co-researcher, Mathlide Jutras, several of our members are among the approximately 50 researchers involved. The collective is also supported by its co-spokesperson Isabelle Arseneau (UQAR).

Its mission is to mobilize scientific expertise to support society and decision-makers, promote collective action, and accelerate the adoption of solutions based on scientific knowledge. The collective upholds the values of responsibility, rigor, and independence, and brings together experts from various disciplines related to the environment, climate, and their social implications.

To join or contact the collective, here are the contacts.

Full details are available on the SAEQ website.
