Ocean in Your Classroom 2025

For Oceans Week, celebrating the arrival of June, several members of Québec-Océan took part in L'Océan dans vos classes (Ocean in Your Classroom) initiative.

These vast expanses of water aren't just beautiful: they're vital. The oceans regulate our climate, are home to exceptional biodiversity and feed millions of people. The oceans and their inhabitants are vulnerable and endangered by pollution, overfishing, coastal hazards, global warming...and a lack of understanding. Education is a wonderful way to take action!

Québec-Océan would like to thank its volunteer members Antoine, Juliette, Guillaume, Maëla, Lauriane, Garance, Mathis and Jory for volunteering for the cause. Let's continue to pass on to younger generations the keys to understanding how the oceans work, their crucial role in the balance of nature, and the importance of preserving them. Because it's by understanding that we learn to love, and by loving that we protect. 🌎💙
