On May 16, Québec-Océan and Ressources Aquatiques Québec (RAQ) organized marine workshops for almost 100 children at the Lab-École du Boisé-des-Prés in Rimouski. On the program: seabed sounds, algae and coastal animals, zooplankton exploration, how a mussel feeds, octopus crafts and an ocean fresco. The youngsters had a fun and enriching experience, with a direct link to the marine world.

Thanks to our precious volunteers, our student members at ISMER-UQAR, Garance Thomas-Durand and Kim Rouanet. Thanks to our partners and their volunteers from RAQ for their implication to this successful day.
With these activities, Québec-Océan is pursuing its mission to raise awareness among young people and help them discover the richness and fragility of the marine environment. By piquing their curiosity, we encourage them to become committed actors in ocean protection!
