Québec-Océan and UQAR-ISMER invite you to the lecture by Thibault Coulombier (La Rochelle, Laboratoires LIENSs et L3i) entitled:
"Development of marine drones for oceanographic research".
Thursday February 29 at 12:00 pm.
In person at the Mohammed-El-Sabh room (ISMER) and online.
Summary:
The LIENSs laboratory is a joint interdisciplinary research unit (UMRi 7266 La Rochelle University - CNRS). The laboratory uses interdisciplinarity to address sustainable development issues related to coastal areas. Within the framework of the "Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir - Equipex+", part 1 of the MARMOR project is dedicated to the development of seabed geodesy in France. In this context, the development of a fleet of marine drones, designed to participate in seabed geodesy missions, must take into account all possible medium- and long-term uses. This presentation will provide an opportunity to present the activities of the LIENSs laboratory, and how marine drones contribute to the production of unprecedented oceanographic data.
