At its annual general meeting, Québec-Océan announced the recipients of its 2022 Awards of Excellence.
The "media visibility" 2022 award
Québec-Océan presented the media visibility award to 𝗚𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗮ë𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂, professor at UQAR-ISMER. With her numerous media appearances, Gwenaëlle has raised public awareness of the phenomenon of deoxygenation in the coastal waters of the St. Lawrence!

The " Joint publication award" 2022
Québec-Océan awarded the joint publication prize ex aequo to :
𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗮 𝗗𝗵𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵, former research professional at UQAR-ISMER, and her collaborators. The paper investigates dinoflagellate communities in high-risk Arctic ports to provide baseline data and verify the presence of nuisance taxa and non-native species. Québec-Océan is pleased to present its 2022 Student Publication Award of Excellence to 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝘃𝗲́, a PhD student at UQAR for his article on multicriteria decision analysis to aid in the selection of coastal defense measures published in the journal Frontiers in Marine Science.
