The ocean plays an essential role in regulating the climate and provides many ecosystem services that are threatened by pollution and human activities. 2021 marks the beginning of the Decade of the Oceans for Sustainable Development, an international initiative launched by the United Nations to preserve the Ocean.  Is it possible to achieve the goals of the "Decade": a clean, healthy, resilient, productive, safe, accessible, inspiring and engaging ocean?
