Natalya Gomez, professor at McGill University and co-investigator of Québec-Océan, and a team of international scientists have just documented the existence of a connection between the Arctic and Antarctic. They have demonstrated, for the first time, that changes in the Antarctic ice sheet were caused by the melting of the Arctic ice sheets. The results were recently published in the journal Nature.
