ÉCOBIM-RÉAQ 2017: a very fruitful meeting

About fifty participants from France, Morocco and Canada answered the invitation of Jean-Pierre Gagné and Pauline Brousseau, who organized the 13th meeting of the International Network in Aquatic Ecotoxicology ( ÉcoBIM) at UQAR-ISMER from May 29 to 31.  This international meeting that alternates between France and Quebec allows participants to review the progress of the research in aquatic ecotoxicology and is a great opportunity to form new interdisciplinary research teams. Conferences and poster presentations featured climate change, sensitivity to toxic products, genomic approaches and the toxicity of emerging contaminants.  At the same time, the organizers were jointly hosting the 2nd Meeting of the Quebec Aquatic Ecotoxicology Network (RÉAQ). The scientific gathering included some intense working sessions to write up an important project which will be presented for funding later this year.
